Infrastructure Victoria has released a discussion paper and technical reports that form the evidence base for our advice on the timing and location of a second container port.
The discussion paper provides an overview of the evidence Infrastructure Victoria will consider in developing its advice to the Special Minister of State on when and where the Government should invest in new container port capacity for the State.
Submissions are invited until 5pm Monday 3 April, 2017.

About our work
Infrastructure Victoria is developing advice to the Victorian Special Minister of State on the future capacity of Victoria’s container ports.
Our focus is on the key questions – when and where?
We need to provide government advice on when to invest in extra ports capacity, and where – at either a Port of Hastings or Bay West location.
Our advice will be presented to the Victorian Special Minister of State in May 2017.
